Conference November 17th - What can Social Media Marketing do?
Social networks has increased dramatically in recent years and achieved a status of extreme importance for student recruitment. For this reason Social Media activities are no longer unusual for universities, companies and other institutions. Various studies, not least the EDU-CON Survey “Academic Selection and Information Behavior on the Web”, show that young people use the internet as the main source of information for study and career decision. But what is a good and efficient strategy for Social Media marketing? Shell an institution use blogs, Twitter, Facebook and communities or is just the right channel the key to success?
To answer these questions EDU-CON will present the results of the follow-up study on “Academic Selection and Information Behavior on the Web”. Beyond that we will evaluate Social Media activities and talk about measuring the success of Social Media campaigns. By reason of our last conference in November 2010 we can point out new Social Media trends and compare different Social Media strategies.
